EST3 - Firephone - Shielded or non-Shielded

Post by Leo »

the wire guide Manual says to use shielded wire for firephones

wire guide manual page 22- http://www.thealarmtech.com/forum/viewt ... ?f=5&t=112
-ASU to CC1, CC1 to Jack/Station. 1 Pair Twisted Shielded 18 AWGt o 12 AWG Firemen's Telephone 96

I think it is a bad idea to use shielded wire, it almost always is a problem.

I am wondering what others have found.
