Adding new sensors to an existing loop

Fairly new to the EST-3 and its software utility (3 SDU)
I need help in adding a few sensors to an already existing loop (and addressing them)
My lack of experience with the 3 SDU is the problem right now. I've searched the web for any sort of manual or guide for the software utility but all i get is the manuals for the EST-3 Panel. I REALLY need help on this.

the first question to ask is
do you have a software key/dongle to run the SDU program?

good
you want a step by step on how to a device to a Loop (pull/smoke)
more sure your computer is running the same version of SDU that the SDU program was written in.
before you start programming (Save-AS) this way you can always go back.
put (description of changes) in IT WILL BE VERY HELPFUL.
(for SDU Version 5.2)
Configure ->Cabinet
if more then one cabinet select cabinet
Modules
select slot
LRM Cofig
select detector or module
add
Put info in

Just one thing, before I begin.
Can you tell me how to make a backup of the current setting, just in case I screw up and need to restore the previous settings.
And can you please tell me what happens after the new sensors are added to the loop?
Are the established 'rules' for all the devices on the loop or do they have to be individually programed? And if it's the latter, how do I do that?

And with regards to the second query?
The programming of the sensors?

One other thing that crossed my mind regarding the 'programming'
1. If I have to do it individually for each new sensor, how do i do that? (same thing i've asked above)
2. If the programming is for the loop, then it should be applicable to all new entries as well, but for example:
there were 10 sensors on the loop, initially, and I add 2 more.
is there any command or rule that should be altered to indicate that number of sensors has gone up?
so if it was something like this before "smk dtc n1:n10" (just an example) should it be changed to "smk dtc n1:n12"
or will this be automatically detected by the system?

Leo, i connected the SDU to the panel yesterday and got some interesting results, can you help me out with this since there's a lot here that I don't fully understand.
I'll pm you the details if you can help.
