Kantech IPLink

To setup your IPLink:
when you get it to work the IPlink led will flash once a second.
Panel to IPlink communication has nothing to do with IPlink to server communication.
A Static IP is needed for the IPlink (DHCP will not work)

The key to getting it to work is forwarding port 18810 to your STATIC IP address.
The customer needs to forward port 18810 UDP
It is also important to get GOOD IP address info: static ip/Mask/GW/DNS
Because: When the iplink communicates for the first time to the server, the server will send the iplink IP address info to the iplink and over write what you put in via KTfinder. so it's important that the Kantech server has the right info to send.

Running KTfinder:
Get the mac address off of the IPLink.
Run KTfinder.exe
you need a static IP address for the IPlink because you are forwarding a port.
also you need a good DNS ip address, when you hit test DNS within KTfinder, it's testing the domain name you just typed in via the computers DNS, not the DNS address at the bottom of the form.

Once you apply your changes the KTfinder may not work until you reset the iplink to default.
jumper pgm1 and in1, power unit up, wait, remove jumper
