QS CPU v2.5 program?

Is there an updated version of QS-CU?
If so does it need a key/dangle?

Having a problem loading a database into a v2.5 cpu.

2.5 is the latest and final version of QS-CU. QS panels have been discontinued for quite a while.

Well then, that brings up an issue I'm having.

Have a QuickStart CPU v 2.5. Old CPU is v1.81, db v2.5. I retrieved the database from the old CPU, replaced CPU with the v2.5. When I try to dump the database in the new CPU I get a "Transfer Error" popup on the PC, after qs-cu reaches 100%. CPU shows Need Database. I am able to successfully use code loader so I don't think it's a hardware (PC or cable) problem. This has happened with 2 "new" CPUs now so I can't imagine it's the CPU either.

Any ideas?

load your panel with a known good 2.5 QS database see what happens.
I would maybe just rewrite the project. 2/3 hours? start with a clean project.

make sure you set the version correctly in the project configuration. If you uploaded from a 1.8 cpu and subsequently downloaded a 2.5 cpu without upgrading the database, it will cause problems. Also make sure all cpu's in the project are the same firmware version.

Just got off the phone with the area EST distributer and qs-cu v2.6 is needed.
I see tons of posts asking for that version on the forums with little response and a quick google search didn't turn up anything of interest. Guess I'm gonna have them come out and program it for us.
