GROUND FAULT troubleshooting
I've got a GROUND FAULT on my system. Any suggestions on how to approach this. So far, from what i've read, i'll have to systematically break down the circuit in halves to zero in on the fault location. Is there any other way to approach this, or if you have any expertise to share, please do. Really...

Re: Database version mismatch
Your english is fine, no worries.
But addressing the problem at hand, I have done exactly that, but the database version is still at 0.00.
Anything else I can do?

Re: Database version mismatch
when you say 'download to the cards' you mean the loop controllers right?
like instead of downloading 'ALL' i should do this individually for ever card and then the CPU?

Database version mismatch
I recently added a few new sensors to the SDU database, followed it up by compiling the rules, Converting the DB and uploading to the Loop controllers and the CPU. what happened afterwards is very strange, when I open the communications window the bootstrap and code versions are all matched up (5.20...

Optical beam smoke detectors compatibility with EST3
Are optical beam smoke detectors compatible with the EST3 panel?
We were looking to add a few new sensors to our loops and didn't know if the panel would support these.

Thanks a lot for the input, did you get to know what the problem was when you got the panel back from EST?

Panel Upgradation
I'm looking to carry out an upgrade of the panel firmware and the database. Before I begin, is there anything I should be aware of or any errors that have a high frequency of occurring? I read in the release notes that the panel would restart and there might be a problem uploading the bootloader cod...

Re: Version mismatch of the SDU and EST3
It says in the release notes: Upgrading firmware on 3-DSDC(1)(C), 3-SDDC(1)(C), and 3-AADC(1) loop controllers You must upgrade the 3-CPUxs before upgrading the loop controllers. You can upgrade the loop controllers using network downloads. If the bootstrap download fails, or if the steps are perfor...

Re: Version mismatch of the SDU and EST3
Right, i'll upgrade the panel then, it says here in the manual to refer to the release notes for upgrade procedures.
where can i get the release notes for v5.20?
furthermore i found this (attached pic) in the student workbook.
is this the way to upgrade or is it different in the release notes?
