Re: Comm Error Troubleshooting
Usually you have a head of line micro. Then you have downstreams from the head of line. If micro 1 isnt working (i.e. Card readers not functional) it has lost its database. I would disconnect 2&3 if they are downstream and then power reset micro 1 by pulling power off the Power/comm board in 1 a...

VERY IMPORTANT
Please, everybody remember. Don't ever have an access control site with all perimeter maglocks without having a way to manually break power to at least one from the outside. I can't tell you how many times I've had to get creative to get into a space. Many of those methods aren't very good to displa...

Re: Reset tamper switch on 940 reader
There should be a small allen screw on the bottom. Depending on the age of the reader there will be two metal prongs that may need adjustment to make contact with the back of the reader. Otherwise it will be a reed type switch. Try adjusting the reader to make sure it fits securely .

Re: Is GE/Casi hardware supported by any other Manufacturer
Lenel Onguard (UTC) is now beginning to support Casi Micros in the field. The caveat is that each micro would need it's own network drop, and you would have to upgrade the controller boards in each micro to a PXN+ CPU. Can't use the downstream port, Lenel won't support that. RS2 claims they can do t...

EST Edwards Siga Series Smoke Detector Sensitivity Testing
Hello, I understand that Siga series detectors do not need to be externally tested via sensitivity testing equipment and the sensitivity information can be obtained via the 2-LCD or by printing the information off. I just don't know exactly how to interpret the information to place on a sensitivity ...

If you take the head down, does it cause a trouble on any points?? If so, it's programmed. Is it just hat one point, or any point in the system?
