Re: QS4 panel problem
I been waiting for this thread since I joined this site, and was surprised it took this long. I suspect it was writing to an EEprom that killed the panels,my opinion, but they(GE) did not say. If your doing an inspection on an old CPU, plan on being back within the week to replace it. But like Leo s...

Re: FCI 72 LED's
Older systems supervised the alarm LED`s by putting a small current through them, which caused them to glow dimly, same as they did with filaments bulbs.
Now that LED`s have proven their reliability I don`t think any one supervises LED`s, that I know of.
Firetech could also be right though.

Does it have a display, cabinets without a display would not be programmed to sound.

Re: EST io64 software
EDIT : Sorry after running that software I see it is for a different version of the IO panel. I have not used this version but you can download it here; http://edwards-signals.com/index.cfm?pg=403&level=25&sid=0 Then select "Fire Panel Programming Software" "FSA-CU Setup v3.3....

Re: EST 2 Mapping fault
I haven't replaced the old device with a new one yet. When I put the existing one back on, that's when the trouble appeared. Is it possible it wasn't in the configuration? When it was tested it didn't work, that's why it is being replaced. Maybe the panel didn't see it there until I plugged it back...

Re: siga-PS falsing
Good catch there rayaviesjr, it is kinda like rule #1, Siga detectors should be a minimum 18" away from a ballast.raydaviesjr wrote:how far away is the device away from any floresent lights/ballast was changed resent

Re: siga-PS falsing
If your only looking for thoughts, I would first check the history file and see if any other devices have logged an unexplained trouble, and have a look at them. If another detector or module has gotten wet or is in a damp area, like (sprinkler rooms/pools/pulls mounted on outside walls [leaks or co...

Re: maintenance alert on ZB16 zone
Had the maintenance alert a few times on different panels that came from the ZB16 card. It would happen during verifications where your putting a panel/circuit through things it would normally not be doing. Never really tried to figure out why it happened, maybe high impedance on the circuit, just m...

Re: QuickStart - Loading system / cable pinouts
Annunicators can have the data bases updated over the 485 line after they are addressed, first download. For any updates, download the update into the panel then login and goto the config system menu. Press DEL at the SLC screen. At the next menu select 6 (Exit) then select 2(save & sync). It do...
